Cover Me, I'm Going In

Books start out in a variety of ways. Sometimes it's with a character who is dying to tell his or her story. Sometimes with that 'what if' question--what if this happened to this person? I've written a few books that started with a title and the story spun out from there. But this is the first time I've written a book based upon the cover. I had somewhat of an idea about a story to tell and a title, but it wasn't going anywhere. Then I found the cover that I knew was perfect for the story--you know, the one not yet written. So I bought the cover art. Now I'm letting the cover and title draw me into the story. This isn't the first time I've done things bass ackwards and it won't be the last. Let's just hope there's a story in there somewhere! In the meantime, have a look at this really great cover from Cheeky Covers

I'll be sure to let y'all know when there's something between the covers!
